OIL CAMP CREEK
Client desired a granite and fieldstone property entrance wall with two pillars. Using the reclaimed fieldstone from the original 1800’s home of historical land surveyor, Solomon Jones, DeVaney Stoneworks paid homage and repurposed 60 tons into the new 120 ft. boundary wall.
“I met Stewart through The Stone Trust and was fortunate to see him working a wall and was immediately impressed with his craftsmanship. When I learned he lived near my mountain homestead I immediately wished to engage him in an ambitious wall project. Right from the start I recognized his comprehensive, systematic approach that left no stone unturned. He placed each stone with purpose. The vision clear and the pursuit relentless, the stone structure slowly began to rise from the earth. Passing vehicles slowed to a crawl curiously taking in the beauty of Stewart’s functional rock art although they didn’t quite understand where or how it would end. But it did end when the ceremonial final stone was placed, and the splendor of the beautiful structure revealed for all to enjoy for many years to come. DeVaney Stoneworks is a professional company in every capacity and was a pleasure to work with. I am pleased with the results of my wall project and the joy of seeing it never goes away. In fact, my wife and I are so delighted we hired Stewart again to construct a firepit that we expect to enjoy even more since it is located in the middle of a high use area of the property. I highly recommend Stewart for anyone wanting stonework of any kind. He is a rock star!”
